Anna Maria Hoarding (**and giveaway!**)

I know this is a safe place to admit that I am an Anna Maria Hoarder. Take one look at the AMH charm swap group on Flickr, and you'll see that I'm in *very* good company. I like to think that I have a special (albeit woefully one-sided) relationship with Anna Maria Horner. See, way back when, I won a FQ bundle of Good Folks on her blog, and I used it to make my very first quilt (I know, it turned out to be the most expensive giveaway ever). Here is my stash.

Anna Maria Hoarding
I'm sure many of you have a much more impressive collection, but I have made four whole quilts from her fabrics!

 My AMH quilts (so far)

My feathers quilt is AMH quilt #5 in the making. I'm going to use the stack of charm squares to make a big, beautiful quilt, so that will be #6.

 Untitled

As luck would have it, I happen to have an extra copy of her new book, Anna Maria's Needleworks Notebook, and I'm going to give it away to a lucky winner! I'll also throw in some fabric, assuming I can pack it up without having a complete panic attack.

How do you win? Just leave a comment. Please make sure I have a way to contact you if you win. I'll announce a winner on Sunday morning (1/13). Good luck!

Oh, wow! I'm new to quilting/sewing and don't have much AMH, but I do have a tiny bit (I call my AMH bits "my precious!"). I would love to win; thanks for the chance!

Ooh, I am an Anna Maria Horner fan as well. I wasn't quilting when her Good Folks collection came out, but managed to get my hands on some scraps via a private swap - so good! Thanks for this lovely giveaway!

I am a fan in waiting.
I read her blog and love her fabric, but am a little in awe of the fabric, so I don't own any yet. I look at it and I love it, but to actually buy it and then - gasp - cut it! I have a little fear that I need to get over I think :-)
But she inspired me to do some embroidery this year when I saw her stitching away, and I would love this book. I think the patterns in it are such lovely modern designs, that I really really want to try them.
Thanks for parting with this treasure, Katie.

Her fabrics are beautiful as are the quilts you've created with them. I've been coveting her book since the moment I knew it existed.

I'm a new blog follower, here via instagram. :)

Your quilts are all so varied, using different techniques and such wonderful use of color, I can't believe you've only made 5 quilts. I'm so jealous, I've been quilting for at least 20 yrs. Your quilts are so modern and perfect. Your doing a great job, I would think you've been doing this for many years. WOW! I'm not sucking up, I'm honestly very impressed. ;-> Toni Anne

This is how I felt about Heather Bailey's Freshcut line. I bought all I could find (after it had been discontinued) and made my first ever quilt with it. I was so glad when they reprinted! I also love AMH's fabric (especially the vibrant colors).
I have AMH's book on my birthday wish list, so I'll be happy to help you with your extra copy ;) Thanks for the giveaway!

I'm so in!!!! I love embroidery and would love to see this book in person...possibly even make something from it (I have an entire shelf if books that I apparently use by osmosis only). Thanks for sharing, and if I win I'd even let you keep the fabric. I will not be held responsible for your cardiac arrest.

I can haz pretties? My first craft was cross-stitch. My only embroidery I can muster so far is straight stitching letters (in uneven stitch length)

What a generous giveaway! Her fabrics are just stunning...wish I got into sewing earlier since so many of her older collections are so HTF and expensive! :)

Well, I can guarantee that my AMH is much smaller then yours as I'm a more recent convert. You've made some wonderful quilts, Congrats! And thanks for offering up such a wonderful opportunity.

Its interesting to look at the different fabric designers. Some make 12-18 different designs for their line of 20-26, some make 6 for their line of 36, and color it four different ways. Her lines are always so vibrant with such unique designs!

Beautiful fabrics!! I honestly can say that I don't have any of hers in my stash but I'm not sure why since they're beautiful!

I adore AMH, Bohemian especially. I made one of my first modern quilts with Bohemian before I was even aware of the whole "designer fabric" thing. Thanks for the giveaway and yes, this is a safe place. Confess away. :)

Another AMH hoarder here. Not that I have so much of it but I gather bits and pieces here and there and love them so much I haven't yet decided what quilt design is special enough for me to use them in!
