How would you quilt this?

Lots of circles or Baptist fans to give the squares movement.

Hmm, it made me think of this tutorial: http://www.handmadebyalissa.com/quilting-the-queen-baby-quilt/ But it's not quite the same, is it? I do love tons and tons of echo quilting though.

wavy horizontal lines.

I'd probably do vertical straight-line (organic or not) OR a stair-stepping echo would be cool.

i'm with Debbie - some kind of echo quilting. Maybe not regularly spaced.

I was thinking of the quilting Heather has linked to as she (Alissa) explains it really well - kind of echo quilting around the blocks?

Wavy lines immediately came to mind, when I sawthis lovely quilt. Variegated green/yellow thread would look nice and naughty ;)

Diagonal straight lines!

Ooh, I like it! My vote goes for some kind of very slightly wavy organic lines, but I guess it depends what you are going to do with it. If it is going to be a wall hanging or something I may go with something more complicated like the echo quilting. Can't wait to see what you do!

Great ideas already!
I was thinking closely spaced straight lines. But now I'll have to check out Alissa's quilting!

You could try something similar to the design in the Mingle fabric.

Wavy lines! I love those!

I like the idea of something circle-y to contrast the squares, but I also like the idea of some kind of echo-y stairs around the blocks, that would be cool too :)

So pretty! I think loops in lines would look really cool. It would give it texture all over, but it wouldn't distract from the spareness of the layout.

Maybe do some close straight lines that echo the block layout (kind of like stairs) on all the solid, and then don't quilt the squares so they pop even more...
