Change of heart

So I was all ready to cut into my Loulouthi for Elizabeth's Kaleidoscope Quilt-Along when I had a sudden change of heart. Love Loulouthi. Love Elizabeth's design. But for some reason, the two together...I guess I lost that lovin feeling.
Big Friday Night
See? I was really ready to cut! I've been unsure of my ability to make the large-scale prints work, and as I was pressing the fabric, I just panicked.

New plan for Kaleidoscope Quilt-along
New plan! I'm going to use my FQs of Pat Bravo's Paradise, minus then dark browns and plus a few FQs from my stash. I'm thinking Kona Ash for the background. (Or Snow? Thoughts?)

Don't feel sad for my Loulouthi. I'm sure it will find its quilty home soon.

I really love the art gallery prints. I think they will make a great quilt for the quilt along. Either ash or snow would work well. I still haven't decided what I will cut for this quilt along.

I have the same problem with AMH prints - I love them, but find it hard to work them into quilts! Guess I ought to make pillows out of them...... ;-)

I too am wavering on the fabric that I choose too. I like the new fabrics you picked.

a rule I follow, is just cut it, don't think about it. It always looks good in the end. If they are really big prints, you could fuzzy cut them, and that would look really cool in a Kaleidoscope quilt. Got all mine cut starting at 5am this morning, haven't a clue what in the world I was doing wide awake at that hour.

Oh I love the new choices (of course I loved the old too-but I am really trying to decide if I want to buy any for that same reason-I love it I just don't know what I would use it for!) I vote for Ash too, although snow would be great too! Love the sonic cup. I am a die hard sonic drink fan-happy hour there was the greatest invention!

Snow! It will finish setting off those great colors. Good choice.

Love your new fabrics! :) Well, and your "old" ones too! I am still brainstorming the perfect project for my Loulouthi--can't wait to see what you do with yours!

Love the new fabrics. I've changed my plan three times already! Just so hard to commit....

Love both the old fabrics and the new ones! I have a hard time cutting the large scale prints into tiny pieces too, even though I usually I like it when others do it. I think your new fabrics will look great with the ash!
