There's still time to participate in
100 Quilts for Kids! The final day to link up is October 14. I'm pretty sure Kate is going to have to increase her goal next year--I think she's going to far exceed 100 quilts.
Here's the quilt I donated.
Luke and I took it to
Children's Hospital in Birmingham. If you're looking for a place to donate in Alabama, consider Children's. Just drop them off at the info desk in the main lobby.
I wanted to involve Luke so I could explain to him what we were doing and why. I think he got it...although he was not pleased that we couldn't play on the hospital playground.
Make sure to head over to
Swim, Bike, Quilt for more info on 100 Quilts for Kids!

Great quilt you made for the cause! And great to involve your son....
Oh! That's so cute!!! Way to go!
That's so cool you included your son. Must remember for when mine are older! I also like that you made the quilt sashing dark -- it seems a sensible choice. :D
That's a great idea to bring Luke along! I might just do that with my donation, which is heading over to RMC tomorrow...
I LOVE the quilt!! And Luke- he is pretty adorable, ahem handsome as well! I still need to finish mine!
It's beautiful, Katie! That's going to be a lucky kid!!
I love that you included your son. He sounds just like mine, more worried about the playground, but he probably understands more about it than he shows! Great quilt and a great place to donate!
What a beauty. You deserve a nice cup of tea (with cake). If Luke is anything like mine, he'd dig the cake too.
I am so glad to see you're using your quilting powers for good and not evil. That's right, evil quilting. Coming soon to a nightmare near you.
