MyShape.comThe seasons have changed, and I have nothing to wear! Somehow this seems to happen every year. The thought of shopping seems overwhelming--I really don't know where to start.
Enter MyShape.com. This is a free personal shopper Web site. Create an account, and you'll be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire (it takes about 20minutes). Answer questions about your personal style, fabric preferences, and how much cleavage you prefer to show (I said it was detailed!). They address skirt length, jacket styles, fit, and desired sleeve length.
You also have to enter 18 measurements--everything from arm length to thigh circumference (egad!). MyShape takes these measurements and assigns you one of 7 body types.
My shape is an E: "Women with rounded profiles whose waist measurements are proportionally larger than their more balanced bust and hip measurements. They’re often short-waisted and their legs proportionately elegant. Not a Big Difference Between Bust, Waist & Hip Measurements. Often Great Legs." Rounded profile? Humph. But I guess that sounds like me.
NOW you're ready to shop. The fancy Internet computes all of this data and give you a personal store on their web site, featuring brands and styles you might like. Their fancy ShapeMatch system even picks the size it thinks you would wear. They select styles just for me, and other styles that might be worth a try. There are a range of prices. I have sweaters from $40 up to $200. Then you can order through their site (free shipping both ways! 15% discount on your first order!).

The verdict?
Overall, I think it's a great concept. And the clothes they chose for me look like things I'd wear for sure. I'm a little disappointed by the selection (they didn't have a single pair of pants for me), but it looks like the site is pretty new and they're going to be continuously adding new clothes.
I think I'll order the jeans and purple sweater. They offer free shipping both ways, so it's really risk free. And if the jeans fit, that would be incredible.

It is hard to find cute petite clothes and that is the section that would fit you the best. Macy's made their petite section smaller. Got rid of some major brands. Kohl's petites went downhill too. Target does not have a petite section. I do like Talbots petites. Ann Taylor petites might work for you and Steinmart has a section also. Good luck. Aunt Mary

I vote for the first outfit too. That would be great for work. And I do like the sweater and jeans of course too.
I tried shopping in the petites section a couple of times and it all looked like stuff my grandma wears.
I might try this. I was thinking that I need clothes too but I don't like looking either. But I need pants the most. I hope they get some more.

Those clothes look like things you already own! I will try it. Because I hate all of my current clothes and have no idea where to begin to buy new ones.

my body type is H. I think that means tree trunk.
I didn't love it. ALthough, my measurements must not have been accurate because they couldn't determine my body type. Boo Hiss.
