My friend had a baby last week. She didn't find out the gender ahead of time, so I waited until she had the baby to make the quilt (quilter's conundrum, I know).
I made her older kids these quilts, so I knew I'd go with Central Park. Still love this line.
She had a girl, so I went with the pinks/purples/blues. I chose the green binding because I like it.
I had enough of this zoo print for the backing.
My friend lives across the country, so it was especially sweet to give this to her in person!

Nice! I really like the purples & blues together! Don't think I'd seen that before with CP.
A very sweet gift Katie. I love the fabrics and the colours.
Very cute! My cousin just had a baby this week too! They didn't know the gender either but girl it is... I happened to have two baby quilts started one boy and one girl. The baby will have to wait a little bit for her quilt... since I'm going to try out my friend's long arm on it! Eek!
great colors! I love this line!
Very pretty! Love those prints. And that is the quilters conundrum!
Yay for more purples. She will have fun naming all the animals on the back when she gets older.
I love this line too! It is what my Sudoku quilt is made out of. I never saw the boy/girl quilts you made with the lines - I absolutely love them! They are fantastic. And this little baby quilt is just sweet. I am glad you get to give it to her in person. I know the little girl will grow up to love it :-) Did you have a large stash of central park or have you been getting it somewhere specific?
thanks for sharing Katie!

Beautiful quilt! I just cut into my fat 1/8th bundle for my guild bee. I still have a fat 1/4 hoarded for someday.
I love a patchwork classic :) And there should be more quilts with purple! This is very pretty, nicely done (and quick!).
