Happy little bags

I didn't finish most of the items on my weekend to-do list, but I did make these little bags!

Ruched Happy Bags x2
These are the Ruched Happy Bags. The pattern is by Amy of During Quiet Time (available here). It's a great pattern with clear, easy-to-follow instructions.

Ruched Happy Bag #1
Shoot...kind of want to keep this one for myself.

Ruched Happy Bag #2
Kind of want to keep this one too. Must. Buy. Zippers.

Zipper ends!
I think these zipper ends are my career-best!

Two more gifts marked off the list.

How cute! I am going to the store to get zippers tomorrow! These are going to be perfect for the last few people I need gifts for. I love the color combinations you used.

These are so cute! I've been making pouches for christmas too... and want to keep them too. Do you have any tips for getting those zip ends just so? I've had several that turn out great then the occasional flop! Maybe it's the time of night that I'm sewing?? :)

I was hoping to find a tutorial (or at least instructions) as to how to finish the zipper ends. Where do I find that info?

Cute bags! I wanted to share that I recently found an excellent source for zippers. These are YKK zippers in many colors for amazingly inexpensive prices. I just ordered 50 for making bags! There is a coupon code in the sidebar of this blog to get an extra 15% off: http://kelliefalconer.blogspot.com/

The etsy store for the zippers is: http://www.etsy.com/shop/zipit

I am in no way affiliated with this shop, just a happy customer, excited to make lots of little bags!!!

how DO you do your zip ends? I like the way they sort of taper as they reach the side seam.
