We saw this move today. I thought Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett were both great. I'm not sure how a 32-page short story became a 3-hour movie, but I liked, and I was never bored.

I agree. I was never bored. The old (physically looking) short guy - was that really him?
What did you think of the tie-in to Katrina?
Do you think it's Academy-Award worthy?
I don't know that I loved it, but I did like it, and it was really interesting.
That was Aunt Tammy in the above post.
I don't how the special effects with the old guy worked, but it definitely looked like him!
I thought the Katrina tie-in was strange, but that's Brad Pitt's big cause, so I figured that's why it was in the movie.
I can't say if it's Academy Award worthy. I really liked it, but I haven't seen any of the other so-called Academy Award contenders.
I'm glad you liked it. I really want to see this movie, and Brad Pitt now really annoys me, so I was hoping I could get past it. I'll try.
Brad Pitt doesn't annoy me nearly as much as Tom Cruise...
Agreed, Nat.
Totally agreed. But it goes like this.
1. Tom Cruise
very close second. Brad Pitt
Oh, no. That's nuts! I think you're letting your dislike for Angelina color your opinion of Brad, and that's unfair! She sucked him into her sinister web!
