I love blog giveaways, and I enter each one with the full intention of winning. (Side note: I assume I'm going to win Stephanie's blog giveaway, but you should enter to win one of the other two prizes.) I felt the same confidence when I entered the giveaway on Anna Maria Horner's site. If you're not familiar, she's a fabric designer, and her stuff is amazing--and I don't use that word lightly. But when I checked her site later and saw that there were 1,466 entries, I was a little discouraged. Imagine my delight when I visited her blog today and discovered that I won! What are the odds? (Somewhere around 1 in 1,466, I suppose.) What am I going to do with the gorgeous fabric? I don't know. Something awesome.
Does this mean Karma has stopped kicking my ass? I'm taking it as a sign.

congrats, Katie. I think Karma has made his (her?) peace with you, thank goodness.
I hate to buy lottery tickets for the same reason. I spend a lot of time figuring out how I am going to spend it and am so disappointed when I lose.
WOW, what kind of fabric did you win? Is i fabric to make a new outfit or to made some new drapes or a bedspread or something? Aunt M.
I think your odds were actually 5 out of 1500+. Not that I was fact-checking you. I just wanted to see the fabric. Which, by the way, is fantastic!
You're a smartass, Julia.
It's smaller squares of her fabric (I think), more like sample sizes. I'll have to see it before I decide what I can do with it!
It's you, alright? I learned it from watching you.
You could always make little birds. They don't take much fabric. Or a quilt.
I've been away a few days and signed up on Stephanie's blog, but I thought it was yours. Evidently, I wasn't paying attention. Hope that doesn't DQ me. Congrats on your win. Aunt T
