What was wrong with it?
please tell us what happened. at least we can learn from this experience.
It was just really....brown. But not burned. More like the potatoes had gone bad. It got really goopy (not creamy).
I tried making something in my slow cooker that turned out horribly burned. It was steel-cut oatmeal. I think it was the slow cooker. Maybe it required a special temperature that I didn't have.
Steel cut oatmeal gets done really fast in my slow cooker. The overnight method doesn't work unless I go to bed at 2 AM. Katie, It sounds like your potatoes oxidized. Not sure how to prevent that with the ingredients that you used. Some sort of "Acid" I suppose. It may have tasted good. MM
You'll do fine with baked ziti! It's my signature dish. You're using ricotta, right? You probably already know this tip, but whisk and egg into your ricotta and let it sit in the fridge for 5-10 minutes before combining it with your pasta/sauce/cheese, etc. It's supposed to make it creamier, I think. I don't know. A real Italian told me to do it once, so I do.
Oh dear. Well, scrambled eggs sound delicious. I had a Happy Meal and some TCBY. To soothe my throat.
