Meal planning

I've not been doing a very good job of meal planning lately. We've eaten more grilled cheeses recently than I care to admit, so it's time to make a change. Here's what's on the menu this week. I'm trying three new recipes, which is quite ambitious if I do say so myself.

Wish me luck! If you see me in the McDonald's drive-through later in the week, don't judge.

They all look good. I love the "My Recipes" site. Good luck. Aunt T

I made the cassoulet tonight, and it was pretty good. Only problem: I used ground thyme instead of dried thyme. I'm guessing they're not the same thing. It was way too thyme-y.

I've never bought ground thyme. But I LOVE thyme. It's my favorite herb.

I would never judge. I'm about to put a frozen pizza in the oven.

Impressive. I've got a chicken thawing to put in the crock pot for tomorrow's dinner. What are we having besides chicken? No clue. Probably just chicken.

Thyme is my favorite herb also Leah. I was thinking the other day If I had to choose only one herb it would be Thyme. MM

Aunt Mary: Do you know if I should've adjusted the amount because I used ground thyme instead of dried thyme?

my favorite herb is basil. But I love thyme, too. and I think, Katie, that ground thyme would be a lot stronger than dried leaves.
this recipe looks good.

I agree with your Mother. Dried thyme leaves are lighter in weight than ground thyme. But I think the recipe would still have been really good either way. MM

Your baked ziti sounds good. I think I'll try it.

And don't feel bad about pitching the potato recipe - about two weeks ago i pitched a stuffed shell recipe - horrible.
