Watch it
I realize I'm probably the last person on the planet to see this movie, but...it's really good! It's such a cool story, and Sandra Bullock (bless her heart) is fantastic.

Will you watch?
I'm going to give Miami Medical a try. No, I don't think TV needs another medical drama, but this one happens to be on one of the 4 channels I get. Plus, it takes place in Miami, and I tend to like shows set in Miami (see exhibits A and B).
Jeremy Northam is kind of awesome too. Oh, and that other guy? Not Cuba Gooding, Jr. Rather, it's Cuba's little brother, Omar.
What do you think? Worth a try? It starts on Friday on CBS.

Claire is giving away a layer cake of Make Life fabric on her blog, Claire's Chaotic Corner, to celebrate her 1 year sewing anniversary (if you look at the quilts she's made you'll find it hard to believe she's only been doing this for a year!).
Love this fabric!

Handsome Men's Club
Leah showed us Jimmy Kimmel's Handsome Men's Club video this weekend. Hilarious.
Click here to check it out if you haven't seen it yet. (The video takes awhile to load, but it's worth it.)
Oh, here. It's on Hulu. This is faster:

Endangered species
We went to a birthday party for Luke's friend today. We gave him this little mama and baby koala (pattern from Susan B. Anderson's Itty Bitty Toys), but not before we had a little backyard photo shoot.
Here, mama and baby are going for an "act natural" pose...
...until mama decides to show off a little bit.
DAH! Baby nearly plummets to an untimely demise ! He's saved by mama's super-long arms and Velcro grip! (Mama looks remarkably calm in the face of a potential tragedy.)
Whew. Safe and sound.
Really letting my dork flag fly today...
P.S. How green is my deck? Probably should do something about that...

Warning: You might gain weight just by reading this post
My friend Marilyn has a birthday this week, and it's my turn to supply the baked goods. I gently steered her toward these Life by Chocolate cupcakes from The Pioneer Woman. Oh, my.
They're basic chocolate cupcakes. There's a Hershey's Kiss inside each cupcake, but I'll leave that out next time (yes, there will be a next time). They sunk to the bottom and stuck to the cupcake pan, making the cupcakes stick. And, really, when you're dunking the cupcakes in ganache, the Kiss seems a little superfluous.
