I can't quite explain why, but I've become emotionally invested in Bret Michaels's health saga. And when he came out to play "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" with Casey James on American Idol last night, dang it, I got a little choked up.
I mean, sure he's totally skeezy but he just won Celebrity Apprentice, and his daughter had a health scare, and the man just had a warning stroke last week people! Is it so wrong to get teary when he makes a triumphant return looking every bit the rocker he was 20 years ago?

gotta admire the guy. He is a fighter.
I actually begrudgingly like Brett Michaels. He's what people call a "loveable douche". I never liked him in the 80's, or his music, but I kind of got attached to him during Rock of Love, what episodes I happened to see.
I just watched the video, and it's kind of sad that the crowd doesn't even cheer when he comes out, I'm guessing because those kids don't know who he is!
What is it about him that is so likable? I don't want to secretly find him appealing, but gosh darn it, I do.
I'm with you. He is skeevy, but you can't help root for the guy. It's truly a miracle that he was able to preform like that after all of his recent health scares.

:-D :-D :-D
This cracked me up.
It was good to see him out there.
I've been worried about him too, especially since he's a personal friend of mine.
"loveable douche" is going to be my new catch phrase 'I love baby quilts'
