Sloppy joe. Slop, sloppy joe.

Do you ever have a hankerin' for sloppy joe and a craving for a Big Mac? Luckily, Food Network Magazine has solved this age-old conundrum.

You have to check out this Sloppy Joe recipe. A friend told me about this today, and I didn't think it could possibly true. Oh, but it is.

Seriously, what were they thinking?!?

Enjoy.

P.S. I should be able to cross an item off my to-do list tonight. Pictures soon!

UPDATE: Okay, so I peeked at this magazine in the check-out line today. The other recipes: a salad made from a KFC chicken dinner (she used the cole slaw and corn and everything), a fish taco made from a Burger King fish sandwich, and tortilla soup made from a Taco Bell burrito. I don't know which is worst!

Okay. Do you think some disgruntled (and now fired) employee did this as a joke? And from Ellie Krieger? Vomit.

Any recipe that says to buy a Big Mac is not a recipe. It's a "recipe."

was this last April Fools joke? Cuz I don't get it.

gotta read the comments, though. People are saying they are going to quit watching the food network over this...pretty funny.

This "recipe" has done what no other Internet story has ever done: Created universal agreement. Every person who commented agrees that this is ridiculous and disgusting. Good job, Food Network!

First I'm a really picky eater...so I don't even like big macs...and i eat a sloppy joe about once every 2 to 3 years....so I cannot see this recipe being ideal for ANYTHING! Next they'll be telling us how to make spanish rice...go to taco bell and buy a pint, stick in the microwave and nuke.

Very disappointed that Food Network posted something like this.

They evidently had an article about picking something up from a fast-food restaurant and changing it up into a meal. I can't imagine why you wouldn't just a) eat the fast food (kind of the point) or b) run to the grocery store instead and get some ground beef!!

And thanks for swinging by my store and for your super nice feedback about Donkeys. I just love them and am super excited other people do too! :) Thanks again!

Gross!!!!!!!!!!! Still not as bad as the burger using a donut for a bun, but pretty darn disgusting. I had the same reaction to the advertised new Big Mac Snack Wrap. A Big Mac in a tortilla? Really? Does that sound healthier to the unwashed masses? Cause it's not.
