Doing good.

I've been the host for the Peace circle of do. Good Stitches for a year and a half, and I'm so proud of the quilts we've made.

If you're not familiar, do. Good Stitches is a group of online quilting bees (put together by Rachel of Stitched in Color). Each circle has a host, four quilters (the host serves as a quilter too), and five stitchers. Each month, one of the quilters chooses a design and posts instructions for her quilt. The stitchers, quilters, and host make blocks from their stashes and return them to the quilter. The quilter finishes the quilt. For more information on do. Good Stitches (including information on how to join), visit the Flickr group.

Our circle sends quilts to My Very Own Blanket, an Ohio-based organization that provides quilts to children in foster care. We have made some gorgeous quilts for this organization, and I thought a gallery was in order!
Without further ado...behold, the Power of Peace! (Sorry...I'm watching too much Power Rangers.)

There are so many awesome quilts here! I'll have to remember to come back here when it's my turn to choose for our circle again. I love the star quilts so much!

I love your Starflower quilt. Is it a pattern that's for sale online or did you just name it that and made from scraps?
I NEED to make one!

I was part of the Aspire Circle of do.good.stitches for 3 years. I designed and quilted 6 of the quilts during that time, and participated in dozens of others. I had to give it up when I followed my dream and bought a quilt shop. I love the quilts you have showcased here! They are a beautiful representation of people working together to help those in need. Great job ladies!
