Thanks so much for your input on my gray/green nine-patch quilt. I neglected to mention in that post that my walking foot is the devil (I must remedy that soon!). I wanted to try some of the cool straight-lines pattern you mentioned, but the foot was giving me fits. So I went with wavy lines!
These 9-patches were a happy find during my scrap bin overhaul. I honestly didn't remember having any blocks left over when I made this quilt, but I excavated 6 of them and paired them with some Kona Coal.
I had some major pulling issues in the middle of the quilt, which distorted the middle blocks. Devil walking foot. I'm not sure if I'm going to try to fix it or not. Probably not.
I used a piece of Kona Cactus I had on hand and added a strip of some black and green scraps.
I find myself liking the back better than the front. Again.
The binding is a Full Moon Dot print from Amy Butler. I think I'm finally reaching the end of my Full Moon dot stash!
The quilt measures about 42x44. Another stash quilt, dunzo!

Looks great Katie! The wavy lines are perfect for this. Probably went pretty quick too, hey?
awesome!!
Bravo! I love this - the layout, the quilting, the grey. EVERYTHING.
Love the fabrics and the quilting. I'm really liking these simple designs lately with floating blocks like this. Such a fun quilt!
isn't it funny how the back is sometimes the best part? why does that happen?!
Ooooh, I definitely love the whole thing, but you're right, I especially dig the back! I like the quilting you did, and I'm sorry to hear your walking foot is evil!! I hope you are able to square that away soon :)
Looks great!! The back is so fun :)
Nice! Love these colors together and using them in my current project! I wish I'd find some random blocks in MY stash! ;-)
Great dunzo!
It looks great, Katie! What other fun stuff do you have stashed away?
Love the grey and lime green - the wavy quilting is perfect!
