A recent finish...I started this quilt at the Stash Bash. It came together pretty quickly--just a map panel (from What a World by Jill McDonald) surrounded by patchwork squares.

I quilted it in simple horizontal and vertical lines in an attempt to mimic longitude and latitude. The binding is an orange print from Comma.

Simple solid blue backing, and this one goes in the done pile!

Cute! I have a panel like that (not sure who it is from) and I'm planning on using it for the backing of a quilt (if I ever start on that quilt). I've been collecting fabrics for it for YEARS now.
Very fun use of the panel...
Love how this came together, the accent fabrics you used compliment the panel perfectly!
I agree, great use of that panel, I love that it isn't centered, so great!
Clever idea thinking if latitude and longitude for the quilting. It wouldn't have occurred to me.
I have a thing for maps. Love this quilt. My kid definitely needs this. I am on the hunt for that panel!!
