I missed WIP Wednesday last week, and I gotta say it made me a little twitchy. Here's where I am.
Finished:
Okay, I finished my Vera bag two weeks ago, but it missed out on WIP Wednesday, so I'm posting it here. Still in love.
Ongoing projects:
Central Park Quilts
The boy version is quilted, and the binding needs some attention. Girl version is ready to be basted. I'll be wrapping these up soon.
Kaleidoscope quilt-along
I'm caught up on this project. Now I'm considering a change of plans. I had intended to make the throw size, but I had no real purpose for it (not that that sort of thing usually matters to me...). I'm in need of two baby girl gifts, so now I'm thinking I'll make a few extra blocks and make two baby quilts. I have to admit--these blocks gave me a bit of trouble. They're on the puffy side, and I didn't have much luck getting my points to be pointy. I'm hoping a little quilting magic will hide some of these flaws!
Tree quilts
I'm making good progress on these. More soon.
Completed tops awaiting quilting:
These are starting to make me sad.
Red Letter Day quilt
Postage Stamp quilt
To do:
Scottie dog #2
Rectangle Squared blocks for do. Good Stitches (July) (fabric picked out)
VIBees block for Krista
Sew Beautiful block for Megan
Cape for Luke
4x5 blocks
Modern Crosses wall quilt
Deer quilt
Head over to Lee's to see what everyone else is working on!

That bag is awesome!!! :)
And so are the quilts! I love the idea of the baby quilts for kaleidoscope! It'll be great!
I adore your bag! So cute, and such a great size!! And I love the idea of turning your Kaleidoscope into two baby quilts, that's a great idea!
Love your bag! Really nice! And you kaleidoscoope is lookin' good. I think we're all hoping some quilting will help those puffy centers..argh.
LOVE your yellow bag! Your kaleidoscope is looking great, I haven't started mine, but I've seen quite a few people who say it's puffy too, so I don't think you're the only one.
Your kaleidoscope is so bright and cheerful! Any baby would love it, puffy blocks and all. :)
Love the kaleidoscope quilt. I am copying you. I ordered some of the yellow fabric to make a bag and it arrived yesterday. Now I have to decide on a pattern.
I love your Vera Bag- is it bad I perused Etsy for a good hour trying to find a similar one for myself? Maybe I will try to make one myself because I am obsessed with that bag!
I'm right there with you on the puffy points. I strategically laid my blocks on my bed to help hide them because I thought I was the only one... definitely some directed quilting to help correct it! But if it makes you feel better, I didn't notice anything until you said something!
I need to make that bag. :) Fun Kaleidoscope, and I'm excited to see your finished Central Park quilts! :)
Cute bag! And your kaleidoscope is coming along quite nicely!
I love your bag! Definitely need to make one, too!
I hear that there is advice in the flickr group about the lumpy/puffy centers of the kaleidoscope blocks - I'm off to go check it out - and I'll keep you posted about how the rest of mine turn out! :-)
Nice progress! I love love your bag, and I think your QAL blocks are awesome!!
I love, love, love your Vera bag! So cool. I think it is a great idea to split the Kaleidoscope into two baby quilts...such a nice gift. My centers were puffy too, so I used the advice from one of the Flickr posts to fix the problem and it helped A LOT! Or since the quilt will possibly be for two girls you could make flower yo-yo centers or something like that incorporated into the quilting!
Seriously. I must have that bag. What is that fabric?? I know I saw this bag (or a similar one) on somebody else's blog? Now I really want to make it too! Can we be bag triplets?
Your kaleidoscope blocks look great. I haven't started putting mine together yet, but I'm a little scared. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
Your purse is so cute!! Love the pattern and the color. So impressed!
