Luke is turning 3 this weekend, so we're having a pirate party. I made him a shirt for the occasion.
Probably the hardest part was finding a plain (no pocket!) red t-shirt. I finally ordered one here.
I had lots of leftover fabric, so I made a pirate bunting using this easy tutorial.
Hard to photograph, but you get the idea.
I found this unfinished pirate ship birdhouse at Michaels for $4. My nephew and I painted it.
And here are the invited my super-talented friend Mary Elizabeth made. Argh!
We got a pirate bounce house for the kids. Unfortunately it poured down rain for the first hour of the party, and then the power went out, so the kids didn't get to enjoy it. (BUMMER!) I think they had fun anyway...

Oh happy birthday little guy! Love the ship. What an awesome gift.
Great Pirate decor--I am sure the kids didn't mind the rain one little bit!!
great decorations Katie! :)
Extra mommy points for you for sure...
That's super, I love the Argh on the boat, and your boys face is just the cutest thing in that picture!
C. :)
Now I'm even more impressed after finding out you made that bunting. I'm sure it's so much better than a purchased one. And you're going to save it for when I have a birthday party to throw, right?
Everything looked fantastic!
I'm so jealous...I wish it were me turning 3.....I love the shirt and really love the birdhouse....Luke is so lucky to have you as his MOMMY!
WAY TO GO SUPER MOM!
