Jill asked for apple green, robin's egg blue, and touches of red and white.
Oranges and blues for Lauree
Muriel asked for aqua, brown, and touches of red.
Denise requested orange, aqua, and red. (I hope I can keep these straight when I mail them out!)
Angela asked for lime, aqua, and cerise. I made the herringbones go in opposite directions in this one. When they were going in the same direction, the solid cerise strips were almost lining up (but not quite), and that bothered me.
(Shh...don't tell the other blocks, but this one is my favorite.)
And here's mine, in all of its yellow/gray glory.
Glad to be finished with these! Can someone tell me how to take less sucky pictures of bee blocks?
I'm linking up to Sew Modern Monday!!
Gorgeous! I love the one where you reversed the direction of the stripes. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteoh katie. i agree i love the block with the reversed directions. it is perfect. i love all of them. if you figure out how to take better bee blocks please let me know too!
ReplyDeleteI have a magnetic board hanging on the wall that I use to photograph my blocks on. I put a little magnet on top of each of the 4 corners so it is nice and flat for photographing. Then, I turn on every light possible in the room. I have the neutral colored incandescent light bulbs in all the fixtures in my sewing room, so the light source is all the same kind of light.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely as usual!
Super cool block, Katie!! I think those look super fab :)

ReplyDeleteFor photos, when I take bee block pictures I place them on a white poster board, lay them flat, then take the photo from directly above.
