Fabric flower rings

I made myself some fabric flower rings using this super simple tutorial from V & Co.

Have you ever tried taking pictures of your own hand? Harder than you might think.

My favorite.

It's good to know that if the whole copy editing thing doesn't pan out I can fall back on my hand modeling.

I like these colors together. Kona Sunflower, Coal, and Grass.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit I had to buy a glue gun for this project. Seems like something a crafty chick like myself should already have in her arsenal!

(P.S. Check out more Sew & Tell projects on Amy's blog!)

  7. haha, that's ok, I had to buy a thimble the other day... I could have sworn I just had one... who doesn't have a thimble? I love the rings... the colors are wonderful together... three rings on one hand... what a fashion statement, eh?

  10. You could put those on a quilt or a hand knitted sweater.

  11. You'll have to do extra hand flourishes to show of the flowery goodness.

PS. I don't have a hot glue gun either, but I reckon the Mr might have an uber industrial something or other version in the shed. Does that count?

  12. LOVE them! I can attest to the cuteness of the gray one because I saw it in person (and almost ran off the road trying to check it out). I think the green one's my fave. Totally looks like something I'd buy at Anthropologie.

  15. I don't have a glue gun either. Although, I did find one in the junk drawer the other day. I may have liberated it from my mother-in-law.
