Hey Katie! Thanks so much, I really do hope that she's getting use out of it! The batting I used for this quilt was polyester medium loft. I didn't want to use cotton batting for this one because of how far apart some of the quilting is. It's super-warm actually, I found that out while hand-sewing the binding on.
The binding was really super-easy to do - you should definitely try it!
